EDITORIAL PROFILE

Creative Nonfiction is the first journal to focus exclusively upon the genre of creative nonfiction (sometimes called literary journalism). Under the editorial direction of Lee Gutkind, an award-winning nonfiction author and professor in the University of Pittsburgh's Writing Program, Creative Nonfiction publishes profiles, essays, and book excerpts on a broad range of subjects. Interviews with prominent writers and commentary about the genre also appear in its pages.

a special issue devoted to personal stories by physicians, patients, family members and others about the need to break dangerous silences in the healthcare community.

a special issue devoted to essays about specific aspects of the game, from the glove to nostalgia and everything in between.

Creative Nonfiction, with a circulation of 4,500, reaches a nationwide audience of serious readers and writers of literary nonfiction as well as fiction and poetry via subscriptions, book stores, and internet sales. Through its highly successful and growing educational program, Creative Nonfiction is read by thousands of undergraduate and graduate students each semester.
