Sayantani DasGupta

Sayantani DasGupta, MD, MPH, teaches in the Master’s Program in Narrative Medicine and co-chairs a University Seminar–Narrative, Health, and Social Justice–at Columbia University. She is the author of a book of folktales and a memoir of medical training, and the co-editor of two collections–an award-winning volume of women’s illness narratives and a scholarly collection on transnational surrogacy in India. Her essays, fiction, and nonfiction have been anthologized and published widely.
