Lee Gutkind spent six years researching the progress being made at the robotics department of Carnegie Melon University in Pittsburgh. He is a professor at the University of Pittsburgh and is founder and editor of the literary journal Creative Nonfiction. His newest book is “Almost Human: Making Robots Think” and he was on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart recently to talk about it.
