Alison Hawthorne Deming

Alison Hawthorne Deming works as director of the University of Arizona Poetry Center. Her previous books include Science and Other Poems (Louisiana State University Press, 1994), which won the Walt Whitman Award of the Academy  of American Poets, The Monarchs: A Poem Sequence (Louisiana State University Press, 1997) and Temporary Homelands: Essays on Nature, Spirit, and Place (Picador USA, 1996).
