Max Garland

Max Garland is a former rural letter carrier from Kentucky and the author of The Postal Confessions and Hunger Wide as Heaven. His poetry and prose have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Best American Short Stories. His book The Word We Used for It won the 2017-18 Brittingham Poetry Prize. He lives and teaches in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and is the new poet laureate of that state.
