Like many others around the world, everyone here at Creative Nonfiction is working remotely. We're staying connected with one another via Zoom and Slack and email and everything else, but we really miss the familiarity of the office. We miss the casual conversations, the stories, the laughter. We miss being around our friends and colleagues.
Something that's helping us is reading submissions, which remind us that even though we're staying home, there's a whole world of people and experiences out there. The goal with every issue of Creative Nonfiction and True Story is to share new writing that broadens our knowledge of the human experience, transports us to unexpected places, and allows us to view (and maybe even understand) the world from others' unique perspectives.
In that spirit, we're running a brief spring sale offering:

Like other small nonprofit organizations, we are doing some hard math, and we could use some support. We could also use the feeling of normalcy of a sale—and we thought, after these many weeks of staying at home, you could use some fresh reading material (and a break from the internet). As an added bonus, shipping physical magazines helps support the United States Postal Service.
