The Key to Freelance Success? Focus! // Webinar

When you’re starting out as a freelancer, it can be tempting to say yes to every project that comes your way. This is a trap that full-time writers, as well as those who supplement their income with freelance editing or coaching, can fall into.

But, as in writing, the key to success is often to go narrow. This webinar will help you develop a more successful freelance business—and in particular an editing business—by being more focused and strategic with the three P’s: positioning, packaging, and pricing.

In this webinar, you will learn about:

  • Positioning: What kind of writer are you best positioned to help? Where do you have special experience or expertise? At what stage of the process are you most helpful to others?
  • Packaging: Once you know who you’re trying to help, you can land more work by creating standardized packages to meet those writers’ needs. When potential clients see tangibly what you offer, they will be more likely to trust you and inquire about your services.
  • Pricing: Pricing is not just about figuring out an agreeable hourly rate—nor is it about attracting the highest number of clients you can handle. Pricing plays an important role in attracting the right client, and it's also critical for efficiency.

Who this webinar is for:

  • Authors who want to earn money on the side through freelance services
  • Personal essayists and memoirists who offer editing and coaching services
  • Freelance writers who offer services to other writers/authors
