The Writing Pittsburgh Fellowship

The Writing Pittsburgh project is an opportunity for Pittsburgh writers to share their stories about the city with a national audience. The Writing Pittsburgh Fellowship is an opportunity to learn about small press publishing from the inside.

Fellows will work mainly on the Writing Pittsburgh project, but will also have the opportunity to work on other CNF projects, including the magazine and other books. Because CNF is a small nonprofit organization, the fellow will also have the opportunity to learn about everything—not just the editorial work—that goes into publishing a book (and magazine), from marketing to distribution to event planning.

Rachel Ann Brickner was the first Writing Pittsburgh Fellow, in 2015-2016.

We're currently accepting applications for the second Writing Pittsburgh Fellowship. Deadline June 1, 2017 for a fellowship beginning in late August/early September. Learn more >>
